The Slawman clan (minus one, more about that later) is leaving in the morning, heading to the 585 not in our new-to-us ride Max, the Toyota Highlander, but rather in yet another of a long series of attempts to avoid transmission failure (a rented Jeep Wagoneer —shoutout to Claudia at Enterprise Rent-a-Car in Thomaston).
This trip will be fun, food, and friends. In addition, CSH is celebrating their 50th anniversary this weekend. We’re hoping to have friends over to our pad-for-the-week airbnb in the Southwedge, The Edge Of The Wedge. There’s a nice enclosed backyard where we hope to catch up over food, fire, and drinks.
Mid-way through the trip, we will be reunited with Abby, who sadly has to work for a few days before she can join us. When we get back, we’ll be reunited with the newest Slawman ride, Max (shoutout to Mid-Knight Auto in Rockland for doing us a solid and replacing the surprise busted transmisson).
